Human intelligence for hire
Aleksi Jokela is a Helsinki-based economic sociologist with a Master's degree (VTM) from the University of Turku.
He studies people, behaviour, and social structures and applies that understanding to help businesses reach their commercial goals, from city revitalisation to mapping start-up markets. He's equally at home polishing a finished concept or carrying an early-stage idea through to completion. Turning observations into practical insight, clearer choices and action.
His approach draws naturally from social and behavioural sciences, economics, and design thinking. His strength lies in working with people, and increasingly, in working alongside AI, using ready analytical tools or building his own when the situation calls for it. But understanding always starts with people: what the problem is, and why, before any tool comes into play.
He's worked across start-ups and established businesses alike, from venture capital and private equity to marketing, design, and insurance, always with a commercial lens. His background includes years in the creative industry, in advertising agencies and later as a freelancer.
Available for project work or a full-time role from September 2026.
